Colorado Summer - Jimmy See Revue

On this first day of summer, I thought I would feature this aptly titled song.

I found reference to the Jimmy See Revue from January to March, 1980, in the Colorado Springs Gazette. He was a regular entertainer at Parlour Pub, on Garden of the Gods Road. After March, I couldn't find any other notice of him performing at any club in the Springs, or anywhere else.

In 1982 he recorded the single "Colorado Summer," which was released on the JIST label.

Listen to "Colorado Summer"

The flipside of the record, "Tonight I'd Love the Rain to Fall," features an uncredited female singer, with a more-formal vocal performance, accompanied by a piano.

According to his 2011 obituary, he was a resident of Littleton. He passed away at the age of 67.

As always, if anyone has additional information, please contact me.

 Hey all!

I love school choir records. Just love 'em. The kids on these recordings sing with either a serious heartfelt, or a "why bother, this is an easy credit," intent, which makes these so worth the hunt.
